Mike DeWine is a shithead. And his graphics people are worse. Just take a look at DeWine's latest ad for his Senate campaign. Notice the towers? Notice the incredibly fake smoke? They doctored that image. Badly. You'd think they could afford effects software with decent particle systems. Seriously, it looks like a bad flash animation.

Yes, that's not news, but it's really becoming clear, after his many gaffes at the G8 summit, that, personally speaking, the guy is a real asshole. Check out the slide show of him molesting the German chancellor--I defy you not to be nauseated!

Some ass owes me $70 million. It should have been Lloyd Goldman, who racked up that much in fines on his 111 First St. property. But the city council voted 6-2 to "settle" with the developer and let him off the hook. So I figure it's Mayor Healy who owes me the dough. Cough it up, drunky.

Once again, Steve proves that he's not only a good councilman, but a good human being. I really can't repeat this enough: the only problem with Fulop is that there's just one of him.

While I have no love for strong-arming cops, does anyone else suspect our mayor may have had just a few more than a "couple of beers" when he got arrested this weekend? I can't believe I voted for this schmuck. Just shows what you get when you vote for "the lesser evil."

First, there's a movement afoot, at the state level, to commit the states' electoral votes to the national popular vote winner, effectively doing an end run around the current stupid swing-state-heavy system. That would have given Gore the win if enough states had adopted it. I'm all for it.

Secondly, Gore pimp slaps global warming deniers, saying that there's still a "debate" in some quarters about whether the moon landing was staged on a sound studio and that the deniers pretty much occupy the same intellectual territory. Daaaamn! Nice one, Al!

The high point of the George W. Bush presidency, according to George W. Bush, was "when I caught a 7.5 pound perch in my lake." Wow, that's pretty awful, right? I mean, is there anything that could be dumber than saying that? Well, how about that he lied about the fish. Freshwater perch don't get that big. And now the White House transcript has changed "perch" to "bass." Fascinating.
